Word of Life Kenya
Welcome to Word of Life Community Church, Kenya!
Here our mission is to Reach the Lost, Equip the Saints, and to Feed and Rescue Children.
Kenya is an amazing place where wild life, culture, and natural beauty abound. It is a land filled with tradition, hospitality, and great need. Kenya is a place that can be tranquil and exciting, yet at other times dangerous and even hostile. This land is mingled with many religions and traditions including Eastern, Muslim, Christian and tribal witchcraft. Kenya is a spiritual battleground and Word of Life Kenya is in the middle of the fight. There is a desperate need for the Word of God and the Saving Power of Jesus Himself.
Having put on hundreds of crusades and against all odds planted over forty churches, Word of Life Kenya has helped to lead hundreds of thousands of people to a commitment in Jesus. The church plants throughout the country, mostly in rural areas, have helped to train new pastors and to equip new believers to walk in their new faith, and to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to others.
With 90% unemployment and daily struggles for food and shelter, Kenya is a hard life for most. Stories of war, corruption, disease, hunger and betrayal can often be heard from the Kenyan population. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit, faith from the Word of God, encouragement and community support from one another, has been a large part of helping to Equip the Saints.
In addition to evangelism and equipping the saints, Word of Life Kenya has made rescuing Kenya Children from a street life of drugs, crime, and prostitution part of its mission . Many street children have been abandoned, have left an abusive home, or have lost their parents through war and disease. This is why we partner with Happy Community Children’s Center. Currently we are rescuing and equipping 40 children by helping to house, feed, cloth, teach the Word of God and share the love and faith of Jesus to them.
Most of our financial support has come from abroad. Without your help none of this would have been accomplished, and we have so much, much more to do. Your continued financial support is needed to fund the church and evangelism efforts. But we need to move beyond where we are today. Our dream one day soon is to build a Bible College in Nakuru to further Equip the saints and expand our evangelism efforts. We also hope to build an orphanage in Nakuru to relocate our current orphanage to a location and building more ideally suited, with expanded capacity to rescue and equip more children.
On behalf of all the staff and volunteers at Word of Life Community Church, Kenya, we want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and our efforts to serve our Lord and Savior. We love to host visitors from abroad. We encourage you to contact us with any questions you might have.
